More Information

Der BMW i3 ist ein vollständig elektrisch angetriebenes E-Auto der Marke BMW i und dank seiner Technologien bestens geeignet für die Anforderungen des Alltags.

The battery tray and battery box of the BMW i3 were securely fastened using the WEBER SER30 screwdriving spindle with a flexible drive concept. The ZEB360 bowl feeder ensured reduced abrasion and low noise emissions thanks to its wear-resistant surfaces and noise-insulated vibration technology, which is used to transport small parts and fasteners. At 5:06, you can see our spindles in action.

Liebherr’s pilot plant for high-voltage battery disassembly

In an innovative pilot plant for EV battery disassembly, WEBER’s screwdriving units play a key role in enabling efficient and automated disassembly within the context of industrial electric vehicle production.
This precise, reliable screwdriving technology with process reliability enables the reliable removal of a wide variety of fasteners—even under demanding conditions and with varying component tolerances.
Thanks to controlled force and torque regulation, components are separated gently and optimally prepared for downstream recycling processes.
In this way, WEBER makes a significant contribution to the scalability of sustainable processes throughout the entire lifecycle of EV batteries.

MOVING INTO THE FUTURE ELECTRICALLY.

E Mobility WEBER

Electromobility is one of the great trends of the new millennium and is experiencing rapid development.

A particular challenge in the construction of electric vehicles lies in the bolting of battery packs, which can carry high-voltage currents. Contact with live high-voltage components can pose a serious health and safety risk to employees. To address this, WEBER has developed an innovative solution—the new spindle concept—that ensures workplace safety.
