Ciao Bologna: WEBER founds distribution business in Italy

Press information 2016/03
WEBER Italy

Wolfratshausen – WEBER Schraubautomaten GmbH is strengthening its distribution activities in Southern Europe and set up its own company in Italy on April 1. The distribution company will be domiciled Bologna under the name WEBER Automazione Italia srl and coordinate the business activities of the company for the whole of Italy from there. Up to now, the Bolzano machine engineering company Schluderbacher has represented the interests of WEBER in Italy. The longstanding cooperation with Schluderbacher GmbH over many decades has helped WEBER to achieve an excellent market position. Dirk Winter, Head of Distribution of WEBER: “We would like to thank the team in Bolzano, with whom we have cooperated successfully for many years. In order to be able to further expand our commitment in Italy and make our contact with our customers even more closer, this requires us to found our own distribution company”. The new company, WEBER Automazione Italia srl, will initially be staffed by distribution experts as well as a service technician. The future contact partner is already known to WEBER customers in Italy: The position will be occupied by Roberto Modica, who is already working for WEBER and Schluderbacher.

Winter: “There is enormous potential in the Italian market. We will do both with the new company in Bologna – intensify our existing customer contacts and services, and acquire new clients from the different areas of the assembly industry”.

We are happy to help you!

FREE Webinar: Smarter fastening – Raising process quality with AI and real-time anomaly detection

Even with modern automation, process quality and reliability can drift. Al-based algorithms and reactive screwdriving programs convert live data into in-cycle actions – detecting anomalies from batch or quality shifts and responding in real time. The outcome: higher capability, fewer rework and discards as weil as audit-ready traceability.

The webinar provides valuable insights into:
✅ New capabilities enabled by AI and reactive screwdriving programs
✅ Implementing real-time anomaly detection in screw assembly
    ✅ Limits of current approaches

Learn how to apply AI directly into your screwdriving process, and take your assembly line to the next level.
